Don't worry, this is very common. Sometimes the first 5 pounds is just water weight alone! Don't get discouraged. Just keep doing what you are doing! Please do NOT go under what SP recommends on calories. You may see short term gains but the weight won't stay off in the long run. Your body will go into starvation mode...which is probably what the articles stated that Kelly posted below for you.
Keep up what you are doing, If you would like I would maybe increase strength training and eat more protein. This could help you lose faster as well.
You are doing it right just don't give up!
