I am pretty much the same way. My motivation comes and goes like most peoples. Mostly I find motivation by people who are high energy and enthusiastic about the possibility of a new lifestyle. That is why I love new people on Spark. They are so upbeat! I also find motivation from little things I see in me...being able to run up a flight of stairs without feeling winded, realizing I keep having to hike up my pants, doing a double take in the mirror when I realize my face/arm/whatever looks thinner.
I have been married for almost 18 years. I had a really small wedding and just a plain simple dress. It was a great day. I sure don't envy people who have a huge event. That is not my thing at all.
Thank you everyone on the welcome! Yeah, it's surprizing how much there is to do for a one-day event but it will be worth it - We have a very tight budget though, so it's going to be a small ceremony etc.
I'm temporarily unable to carry too much exercise due to a strained knee joint :( However, as soon as it's better I will be carry out so much more. I don't really know what 'motivates' me it seems to be a randomly-activated sensation - Sometimes from hearing of people's succes and other times just knowing that I was able to help someone on their journey is enough to get me motivated again.
What do you find motivates you?

Hello, I'm Midnight (Or Amelia). I'm 20 years old and currently on an apprenticeship scheme in the UK. I used to be on SP (AngelAmelia) - I managed to gain confidence and learn tons of information which has helped me to lose weight during my absence as well as help others with their journey! As an apprentice admin assistant my job is often involved around a computer, however, I try to incorparate exercise as much as possible. I find simple ways to exercise in our small ground floor office are walking to and from walk (It's only a 7 minute walk each way), doing the refreshments and walking whilst on the telephone since they are wireless. My total weight loss within the last 6-12 mths is 21 lbs (However, thats including all the rollercoaster times etc). I'm closer to my ideal weight - I'm not aiming for size 8 or 0. I'd be happy if I changed for 14-16 (Although I believe most my clothes are 16-18) to a size 12-14. I've recently decided to get married (I've been engaged 5 years - Yeah, a young engagement) and I have the wedding dress already - It's size 14-16, so it's hanging in my cupboard as inspiration to reach that size. The wedding isn't for another 18 mths but I want to reach the size sooner rather than the last minute, so that I have time to adapt to maintaining the weight. I can achieve 135 lbs by September 2012 then that would give me roughly 12 mths to maintain the weight etc.
