Hi and welcome! I am pretty new (64 days!) and have found this site to be SO helpful and motivating! I am addicted to walking and have gone from half mile walks to 3 1/2 mile walks most days. I am also from Texas but now live in the Midwest. Sometimes the challenge here is just the crummy weather. I have found that taking baby steps (instead of giant leaps and then failing) is very helpful. Give yourself permission to improve gradually - we didn't get here overnight. Slow and steady does win the race! Best of luck on your journey!

Hi, I'm not new to this but this is the first time I'm posting here. I've been sort of toying with my diet but now I want to get serious. I weigh 190 lbs, need to be 140, and I keep eating unhealthy food. I know I need to eat a lot more fruits and vegetables, and I need to keep on my workout routine. It is possible to walk a mile around my neighborhood, and there is a hill there where I run zig-zag up and down it. I guess what I need from y'all is motivation! Thanks so much for just being here.
