Thank you, I will check in with you from time to time if that is OK. I am really surprised by the quick replies have have received and I know this sounds really stupid but I am writing this through tears that I didn't even know I needed. Thanks for ur support. My first goal is NO MORE SODA. I know you said start small but for me that's a biggie. Wish me luck.

Welcome to the team Angie. You can do this. Like you the weight started adding up when I reached 40. I am 51 now, have reached my goal and feel terrific. I know it can be done and a new healthy lifestyle is great. Take little baby steps and make yourself some small goals so that it doesn't overwhelm you. Welcome to SP and the team. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Make friends as support is really important in this weight loss. emoticon

Well they say there must be a first time for everything. This is mine. I have a lack of computer say so I have never bloged. I am 53 and overweight. When I married the love of my life I weighed 145 lbs. And at 5ft 7 Looked pretty good. I felt sexy. Over time like so very many, every year I just added five six pounds.before I knew it here I am round. My husband is a wonderful man and never speaks negative of me. Yet another reason to love him. However he eats and just doesn't.t gain much weight. He is geneticly lucky that way. Unfortunately I am an old fashion style wife and like to cook for my man ( not perfectly happy about being this way sometimes but it's me). The problem with this is he is a true COMFORT FOOD eater. You know what I mean, if it is not fried or covered in gravy he doesn't believe it is food. Unfortuneatly this is how I too was raised. We ate more beans taters and cornbeard as well as bisquits and gravy than I could begin to say. But that is what you do when raised poor and from a large family (8 kids). Dispite that I didn't have a weight issue until around the age of 40. In fact I was know as little Angie most of my life. Pooh back to the main topic. I need to find me again and get back healthy so I can breath when I try to tie my shoes. Wish me luck.
