Hi, Deanna,

Glad you have joined SparkPeople. Good for you doing the mile a day on the tread mill. That is awesome. SparkPeople has some good guidelines for weight loss and how many calories to eat as well as meal plans.
Just take your time getting used to the SparkPeople website.

Make sure your doctor know what you are working on too.

Losing 4 pounds in two weeks is a good. Losing about a pound or two a week is the recommend way to lose weight. emoticon

On your start page you can list your weight and goals and Spark will give you a calorie range.

HI, i JUST STARTED THIS AND AM HAVING LOTS OF TROUBLE LOOSING. BAD HIP AND STROKE MAKE EXERCISE HARD, BUT AM WALKING 1 MILE A DAY ON TREDMILL.. LOST 4 LBS. IN TWO WEEKS, AM NOT SURE ABOUT HOW MANY CALORIES TO EAT , OR ANYTHING ELSE. I NEED HELP. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE SOMEONE GUIDE ME ALONG UNTIL I GET IT.
