So true, nothing can truly change until you do.
You must be pretty busy .. I read your post and thought, wow, do I ever remember how things were when I was around your age and had three little ladies at home. (I had my third daughter a month after my 30th birthday). I was also about 75 pounds overweight then ... 90 pounds if you asked my doctor ... working FT and always with my girls outside of work. Actually, they came to work with me a lot when I had to work OT (Yes, I have a husband but he was busy starting a business and not available much). Your post certainly sparked some memories for me. What an amazing time we had. Sooooo busy but soooo much fun :) :) :)
I was also thinking about how great it is that you've 'taken the bulls by the horn', so to speak, and are working on your health now, before things get out of hand. Mom's have a fabulous way of putting their personal needs last (which, of course, I can relate to because I did it for YEARS) so I read this and smiled... Good for you! Your family is really going to benefit from it as well.
I find this website so easy and it has certainly helped make me more accountable. :) :) I am very thankful for the journey it's helping me stay on. Plus, I have my girls supporting me and learning a thing or two along the way. I love that part.
Wishing you great success on your healthy path.
Attitudes are contagious. Is yours worth catching?
very true, if you change nothing, nothing changes
Hi, everyone! I'm a 29 year old at-home mom of 3 gorgeous little girls, wife to the best band/choir teacher in Western Kansas, vocal coach, and unfortunate heir to a plethora of family medical issues, being 40 pounds overweight.
I joined for a number of reasons, mainly because I needed a little motivation--on a budget :0) (If you noticed, we're on a teacher's salary!) Ideally, I'd like to lose at least 30 pounds by my birthday in January. Not because I want to be skinny--that is a plus-- but because diabetes starts in my family in the early 30's for those of us who are overweight.
Spark has been so motivating and eye-opening! So excited to be part of this community. I'd love to be connected with others to keep me motivated, and possibly to inspire others!
If we change nothing, nothing changes.
Changing nothing means nothing changes.
