hi there.. sorry it has taken me so long to get to you.. this summer has been nuts for our family.. but anyway.. yes on the popcorn!!!!! i love it.. how do you make yours? if you didn't know... you can put a quarter cup of the popcorn in a brown lunch bag and pop it in the microwave.. i have a tiny one and is only 900 watts.. it takes about 3 minutes 10 seconds to pop a whole bag... but no oil needed. is that awsome... any other things i can help with let me know.. i have loved ornish method... even if you don't go the whole 9 yards,, just a change here and there will make a difference.. i also have a blog page... youwantmetoeatwhat.weebly.com... i have recipes and hints there too. like exercise and eating tips... but popcorn is a go for you!!!!

Hi group-
I'm here because I have a need to lose weight before my knee replacement. I have tried Atkin's and South Beach..but the high protein/fat just becomes repulsive after a while..I crave my complex carbs. I know I could easily give up the meat etc. but the fat restriction may be a bit of a challenge. I am highly motivated and have Lupus as well as heart arrythmias so know this is going to make me feel better over-all.
I will be looking to you pros for guidance. I have 'Eat More, Weigh Less'- has some great recipes.
Guess my question right off is- Can I eat popcorn..I make it with 1 tsp oil and 1/2 cup popcorn.
