Hi GARNET and emoticon Tracking your food is great because it keeps you honest with yourself and accountable for your choices. Good going emoticon I always had a hard time getting in exercise because, to be totally honest, I hate exercise. What I do like is activity so, I found a couple of activities that I actually enjoy and it just so happens they also are "exercise" - just disguised emoticon Maybe you can find some activity you enjoy doing - for me it's water jogging and Lawn Bowling, but it could be bowling, tennis, golf (walking the course) or anything you like doing that gets your body moving. Good luck emoticon and your teams will give you lots of encouragement and support along the way!

Welcome to the team! It sounds like you're a busy lady. Keep working at it, you can do it! I got serious about losing weight & gaining a healthy body this spring. So far I'm down about 13 pounds, have conquered both the tennis elbow that was developing and the rounding that was beginning in my back, and fit back into my old clothes. :) If I can do this, I'm sure you can reach your goals also. It has taken focus, determination, and support, and has been well worth it!

I have just received my Cookbook. I am from Alabama but hope to retire in the next year and split my time between here and Montana. I am married and have 2 grown children, 2 dogs and 1 grand dog. I am currently caring for my 80 year old mother and 99 year old grandmother. I have been struggling to lose weight for about 4 weeks now and haven't been very successful. I have finally got the 8 glasses of water down, I am tracking my food and trying to get my exercise in. The exercise has been harder to get in but this week I have finally managed 3 days at 30 minutes on the treadmill. I need to lose about 75 lbs but at this point I would be happy with 10.
