Way to go on your exercise streak. Don't focus on the scale, but how you feel. Have you set any nutrition goals? Start with something small like drink 8-cups of water per day or eating more fruits and veggies.

Keep us posted on your progress. We are here to help.

Hi and emoticon You have taken the first step to health and weight loss by becoming a member of SparkPeople. Since you were athletic you know that muscle will make numbers higher on the scale sometimes but you will see and feel the fat loss - see it in the mirror and feel it in your clothes. Stick with your plan and use the tools that are at your disposal here - keep posting because it is a source of encouragement and as a bonus you'll make friends along the way who understand you because they are on the same journey you are on. Most of all have fun - this is something you are doing for you! emoticon

What a struggle. Life, weight. Ups and downs. It sure has been fun though. But I miss the athletic teen and early twenty year old I used to be. With a top weight of 313 pounds and lowest weight of 160. I have tried alot of things but the one thing that I was never willing to let myself do. Was become an athlete again. I never saw it like that, until recently and the thought alone helps to motivate me. It also keeps me going when I have hit a long plateau. Like right now, I am going on 2 weeks with at least 10 minutes of activity a day, someimtes 90 minutes and I have gained weight. What!!! But I am healthier and I have more energy. And that is going to be helpful on my journey back to the old me.
