Hi everyone! Thank you all for the welcomings and all the kind words!! I went to the gym last night and am so sore today it is wonderful! I feel like I am on my way!

Please keep me posted on all of your journeys! I know some of you have talked about cooking in instead of eating out, and I am excited for you to share recipes you like - I am in a similar boat with my boyfriend, who hates vegetables and has a sweet tooth.....he of course, is not a pound over weight! He is very supportive though and is so diligent I know he will taste and try whatever I make. I have been trying to roast butternut squash and make carrots and things that are naturally sweet to compromise, but ultimately this is my journey and I need to get into my own rhythm. It's just so much harder with two ;)

So keep the stories and recipes coming!!

wow, I hope you change that about him, it's so expensive and high in calories to eat out.

Good luck with that! You can do so much to improve your health eating at home--and still have all the taste.

Good for you!

I'm new and looking forward to the cookbook. My husband hates to eat at home (he was raised to eat almost every meal in a restaurant). I'm hoping to change that and get healthier in the process.

emoticon you're at the right place for encouragement and companionship! I also have as a goal to go to the gym 3 times a week, but am currently ill (for the past 2 weeks) with asthma, so unable to go. Looking forward to next week, when I hope things will be much better. emoticon

Hi everyone! I am just starting out on here and am looking forward to talking with you all! I just joined a gym and my goal is to go at least three times a week for a month. I need to get back to feeling comfortable being uncomfortable...and right now it's important that I carve out the time to move my body. I can't wait to get back to being comfortable in my own skin! I have been reading some of your messages and I am getting inspired and ready to join in!
