I have a goal, that i JUST realized, of trying a new recipe from my cookbooks each week next year. nothing outrageous, but that i what i am going to do. gotta use the books i bought. and if i don't really believe i am going to use the book regularly, i will donate it to the library.

It is a great idea to stock the pantry early in the game. taking advantage of the after holiday sales is a fantastic idea. Perhaps I might do the same, if you wouldn't object. I have just gotten in to actually reading the book, and there are so many things I would like to try. Looking forward to your comments.

I want to learn to cook. 'Cause I LOVE to eat. I'm looking forward to trying the recipes. I was reading the chapter on stocking your kitchen with the right equipment and I actually have a lot of the stuff, I just don't use it. I do need a new knife & cutting board though. I think I'll hit the after Christmas sales & see what I can find. Nice to meet you all!
