It is surprising how if they don't know what they are eating and form preconceptions how often they will actually enjoy nutritious food. Just keep on cooking, and eventually palates change without our awareness. emoticon

I made the Vegetable Lasagna on pg 260. DH at 2 servings before he realized that it was meatless. emoticon I guess he can't tell me that vegetarian food is bland again.

I understand how difficult it can be when your partner has such different eating habits. Have you ever tried the smoked chicken links. Your husband is accustomed to an authentic strong (to me anyway, German sausage.) You might try test a bit of it, and then look for some things which might be substituted. Not all at once, you might start by reducing his sausage and putting something in its place. However, the important thing is to remember, if you want to try the recipes go for it. You don't necessarily need to eat the same things all of the time. It is important to remember you are just as important, and if it seems a bit selfish to want to eat healthier it most definitely isn't.
I wish you luck, and hope you can find a balance which works for you both. emoticon

You might be able to wean him using some of the sausage, white bean and veggie soup recipes that are out there. If nothing else it will lighten up his meals.

Cheers,
Catherine

good idea. just need to figure out which one to get him off the smoked sausage/kielbasa kick that he's been on (since before summer, seems like). LOL

Make one of the recipes downsized for 2 servings. Maybe the jealousy factor will tempt him to try it too. Worked on my DH. lol

haven't tried any of the recipes yet, because DH is stuck on smoked sausage.
