Hi Ladies,

I went back to the bodybuilding website to look at the 12 week fat loss program and I'm not finding it there anymore. :(( I'll search google to see if I can find it elsewhere though.

*minutes later*

I couldn't find it in the "find a plan" section and I had to do some digging but I found it again. I'll put the link here for both my and others convenience. Hope to start back soon. Be well everyone.

What a wonderful post! I love weight training too. You kind of want to shout from the rooftops how great your body responds. Yes, that soreness is awesome, as twisted as that sounds. LOL

I plan on incorporating the Fat Loss plan with my half marathon training. I will probably tweak by occasionally doing some of the Challenge workouts too. I am known for "tweaking" my workouts. Hey, if it works why not?

Welcome to the team!!!

Hi there! I'm glad to see others on this program. I haven't done the LiveFit before so I don't know the difference between the two. I did the 12 week Burning the Fat Program a couple of months ago. Well, I did about 2 weeks, but I LOVED it!! I'll be starting it again whenever I get a chance to get back in the gym regularly. Someone asked if it's the same exercises for 12 weeks. From what I can tell, it is, you increase your weights as you get better/stronger of course. I substituted some of the cardio, e.g. the stair master for Zumba. I didn't follow the nutrition plan that went along with it but I figure if you eat enough, often and clean then not following it shouldn't be a problem. It was my first time focusing on strength training for fat loss and I loved how my body was reacting to muscles I didn't realize were there. It's kind of weird that as painful as it was, the soreness was pretty awesome. Definitely took advantage of the two rest days. Anyway, I hope we can keep some sort of sub-forum going for those of us on the Burning the Fat program.

You know me LFF, I will be modifying. I like it because it is easy to fit in different moves. I will be creative. Just feels right for me now. Focusing on running, but NEED the ST for my sanity. Pinch me because I feel like I am in a good place. Well, except for that pesky job of mine!

This program looked great. The only reason I haven't jumped on it is that I don't seen anything past 7 days. I know I won't want to do the same routine every week for 12 weeks. Let me know if future week plans show up!

You should give it a go Jen! Have you checked it out? I did my first workout last night and it was great. I am with you on the added hours plus we are moving into the time I get the seasonal depression and have a difficult time juggling things. This plan seems perfect right now. There is room to play around if you want. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE LiveFit and highly recommend it, but it is quite structured and does take some time. Once you have accomplished it I think you have an incredibly strong foundation in the ways of ST and clean eating. I still plan on doing another round of it. Let me know what you think of it.

I'm in a funk-back from vacation...and so not ready for it. I need to find a program, this might fit. I am working long-ish hours until the new year-not sure I can commit to the 2+ hours at the gym in the later weeks of live fit...

Thanks so much for sending the link! Now don't laugh, but I saw that pop up in the navigation, but skipped it when I saw the age range. LOL This looks like the perfect plan for me right now. There are only a few that I would have to modify because I don't have them on my machine and the rest are some of my favorite moves. Will have to skip the back extensions for a couple weeks until that is healed, but I am good to go. I like the simplicity of it. WOOHOO! I am in!!!
Thanks again:)

This is the link- I guess the official name is "12 Week Burning the Fat Program by Jamie Eason" I mix up the cardio and don't always do the recommended machine so you could certainly use that time to do your running if you wanted to. I am in my fourth week now and I just increased my weight- I plan on taking measurements at the end of this week to see if there is any change.

Thanks for sharing. I am not sure what is wrong with me, but I couldn't find anything on that plan. There are so many plans on their site now. Did check out Labrada's one and another one that is something like "Cut & Shred" but the latter seems like too much for me with the running I am focusing on right now. Keeping that bookmarked though;) Do you have the link to Jamie's Fat Loss one? Sounds like a good fit, with less tweaking.

Well the fat loss is kind of like this (just so you know)
One day weight training lower body and 20 minutes of cardio (takes me between 1 hr and 1 hr 15 minutes depending if I have to wait for machines or weights)
One day of 30-45 minutes of cardio (I usually can get in 60 minutes)
One day of full body weight training and no cardio (this takes less then 45 minutes)
One day of upper body weight training and 20 minutes of cardio (again takes me about the same time as the first one I listed)
And another day of 30-45 minutes of cardio (I try do 60 minutes again here)
So in all you do three days of weight training- four days of cardio (two short and two long) and you get two rest days
There is also a diet plan of 5-6 small meals a day- each with a good carb, protein, and a fruit or veggie- but she lists the foods to eat not giving a list to choose from like Live Fit but I am sure you can substitute

I have not done the fat loss trainer, and I made it through week 9 on her other one before I got knocked out by the flu :(

I've wondered how different the fat loss one is...so I'm following, hoping to get some replies.

I attempted the live fit program several months ago but was unable to complete all of the exercises properly or commit the time- so as i restarted three weeks ago- I found another one of her plans on body building.com called the 12 week Fat Loss plan. I was wondering if anyone on here has tried it before. I am hoping it will get me more ready to complete the live fit program.
