Hi there and welcome to the team! The first couple of weeks do seem to be a ramp up for people not used to weight training (that was me 9 months ago). Enjoy them while you can- cuz they start getting crazy in Phase 2 & 3. Hold out on the no cardio and build up that muscle!
You'd be the first family I've seen doing the program together- very cool! How old is your daughter?
I definitely notice a difference with the BCAAs and Flax seed oil. Can't live without my protein powder and post-workout smoothies. Otherwise, I just take a multi-vitamin and occasionally Calcium when I can.
