I just joined Sparkpeople and this team to get the support.
I am doing Jamie Eason Live Fit, am at Phase 1 - Week 4.
Doing Week 4 a second time because I was a slacker on working out.
Some background info:
Age: over 40
My goal: reduce inches around waist and get into habit of meal planning & the "addiction" of working out
My motivation: "If not now, then when?"
I was diagnosed 4 years ago with breast cancer and got treatment and also was found to be pre-diabetic. I never made any changes in my lifestyle.But two facts stuck in my head:
1) weight gain is related to recurrence and my oncologist told me what my maximum weight need to be. ( Four weeks ago I was 3 pounds away from that number.)
2) pre-diabetic condition can lead to diabetes in 10 years if no changes are made
So - I thought, it has been four years and four years have passed, and I have not made any changes - if not now, then when?
