UPDATE: I finally saw the emoticon move emoticon . Of course, it only put me back where I was at the beginning of the month. It did make me happy though emoticon . I am focusing more on inches lost and I will get those results at the end of the month.

I am so relieved that I can finally incorporate fitness into my ST routine. Have a great day ladies. YAY for Phase II. emoticon

I understand feeling demoralized. I am working so hard with no results to show for it. Im trying really hard to just believe in the program and know what I am doing is good for me no matter what. But it sure does suck sometimes

I did it the way it was designed today and it was alright. I am so accustomed to lifting with cardio that it felt weird to actually do all of my leg work and THEN my cardio.

I just have to vent as well. I am totally not feeling this weight gain portion of things. I know that it is muscle since I am still fitting in my clothes, but I don't have to like it. That is why I don't like getting on a scale on a weekly basis. It is so demoralizing to me. Anyway, I just need to say that so that I can move on.

AKAFIT,

I would do it as written. You're doing more of a circuit type of program. But we're still in muscle building mode so you'll get your biggest results by lifting first. In phase 3, you'll lean out the fat. However, by sticking to the nutrition you should still be able to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. I know what I said is confusing and conflicting, but Jamie is an expert so I would trust her.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I may have to rethink my plan then.

I am doing 30-40 minutes of running or the elliptical. What the program says.
The reason it is set up like that is because by doing weights first you are burning off the glycogen (sp?) so by the time you get to your cardio you are in the fat burning zone already.

I am on Phase 2 finally. My question about the cardio is how do you do yours? I tend to do interval training and so I have been doing that. I will do a 10 minute cardio, then a set of lifting, 10 minute cardio and set two of lifting, and so on. I find this make it easier for me to get my complete workout in. I get up early in the morning before work and workout or else it isn't likely to get done.

What are you all doing for your cardio?

Well after six weeks and 9 lbs heavier (uggggg) I am trying to stay positive and hope that this weight gain can be the result of building muscle. I am excited to see the changes in the next 5 weeks. This has been one of the best programs I have ever been on. I am an advanced weight lifter, and have searched for something to challenge me. I am not overweight, but after years of excessive cardio and lack of proper nutrition (too much low carb dieting) I have most definetly lost lean muscle tissue, and so therefore I am over fat. My goal is to return to my original weight of 109 lbs but to have better overall muscle tone:)

I WILL DO IT:)
