I read somewhere that binge eating was not about satisfying hunger but about satisfying something else. So no matter how much you eat you never feel satisfied. I found this link which may help.

You've started off on the right foot by getting back into sparkpeople. It's a wonderful network and you'll find so much support here if you reach out for it. This is a great team and you'll get plenty of support here. Check out some of the other teams Gwen and I are on if interested. You'll be more than welcome.
Hi everyone new team member here.
I am a 41 year old guy called Frank. I live in Scotland with my wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters and i am also a binge eater.
I have been on and off the spark for sometime now as well as being on Overeaters Anonymous and the Smart Recovery program. Up until these past couple of weeks i have really struggled to committing to my lifestyle change. Sometimes i would last a week or if i am lucky i would last a couple of months and then i would fall off the wagon. I would then restart under a new name because of the guilt of my failure.
I have got an appointment with my councilor later on this month to address my binge eating problem. What i was thinking of doing was setting some short term goals and setting up some kind of a support network before then. Basically to get the momentum going again.
I am really hoping that i will be able to get to the bottom of my binge eating problem. So i can start making the right decisions and taking the right action to cure it.
Thanks for reading.
