My name is Steph, a first time mother of a little 5 month old girl and a full-time retail worker with a stay-at-home husband. I just turned 30 and would like to make this the prime of my life.

Feeling a little down about the after baby body so baby steps are probably the best idea for me. Small changes will help to achieve the larger goal of being healthier and setting the example of a healthy lifestyle for our little girl.

In reading your introductions there is definitely something that I can learn from others in this group. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and provide encouragement for Baby Steppers.

Stephanie

to the Baby Steppers Spark Team!

I'm just new to Manitoba, we moved here six months ago from Southern Ontario! Nice to have a "neighbour" here, though!

How I wish I knew to and how to be more careful of my health after baby number two.

Making up for lost time, now!

Wishing you the best in your journey!

Hi! love this title and look forward to moving forward with this group :)
i'm a new mom of 2 under 2 and feel a little over whelmed with trying to add "working out" or "watching my weight" to my seemingly never ending daily to-do list. i'm hoping that by making baby steps I can stick with it.
Good luck to all :)
p.s. i'm a manitoban too :)

Just getting caught up - we've had quite a few new members, lately! WELCOME!!!

It's great to see how Baby Steps are helping each member, too!

and we can enjoy the journey! (^_^)

edit to add, I was just reading my intro and my life has changed a bit since then. I now drive school bus, which is great - I'm home every night with my husband and kids and I get holidays and weekends off, usually, though driving the occasional charter takes this position right into "dream job" mode! I just realized yesterday that though I've lost 35 lbs and my clothing doesn't seem to fit any better than it did, I had a hard time keeping my bathing suit on, yesterday, so it's true, some of the fat has disappeared!!! LOL We sometimes have to search for the evidence! It made me feel like a million bucks and I can't wait to start shopping for a new swim suit! Living in the subarctic, I have to wait until they come into the stores!

Just saying hi, and that I'm happy to have stumbled upon this team. It pretty much sums up where I am theses days, but, I'm more than OK with that. My motto for 2012 is "a little goes a long way", and baby stepping falls right in line. Best of luck to everyone. Looking forward to being a part of this group!

Hi, I am Gini. I am 60 in April and am finally finding my way through Spark and realising that baby steps is what will get me going and keep me settled. I also jump in and overwhelm myself often. I have just discovered that I am not too fond of myself and so that is 1 area I need to work on. Hope you will encourage me to get up and get going with my life. I need help.

Hi, I'm Heather! I realized after several false starts in my past that Baby Steps is the way to go for my success. I used to have a SP group very similar to this one about Baby Steps but I never followed my own advice, instead jumping in and getting overwhelmed. I'm so glad to have found this team and I am really looking forward to being a part of it. :D

I'm Sue. I'm 60. Funny to say I'm back to Baby Steps! But it's true... hahaha
I joined SP several years ago, but I had a lot of health issues that seemed to interfere with my goals.

I had surgery two years ago, and there was a medical error that required several repairs to be made over the last couple of years. I've gotten most of that out of the way, but I spent much of the last two years in bed, so I'm pretty frail, and I've gained a lot of weight.

Heck, I gained weight with each and every health issue.

So I'm back. I'm tracking again. I've still got health issues but I'm "fixed" now, and hopefully I'm on the mend from the worst of it.

Donna, I homeschooled my children, also. Loved it!

Hi, My name is Donna Kovacs. I'm a busy home - schooling mom who's had to try to juggle some odd jobs this past year to try to make ends meet while my husband was laid off and then attending school. Two major moves for us, one to the city of London, Ontario from a five bedroom farm house to a two bedroom apartment and then into two vehicles to live in a few motel rooms, two tents and finally a three bedroom house in Thompson, Manitoba. During this past year, I also certified as a personal trainer and now a bus driver who's waiting to start training to work for Greyhound Bus Lines.

Needless to say, life can become overwhelming. The only way I know to survive is to go back to the basics at times - Baby Steps! They've helped me get through my early years and now also the hardest year of my life. See what else can be accomplished simply by starting with Baby Steps! You can do it! I'll cheer you on, all the way! :0D
