Take this first week to familiarize yourself with the tools here. Once you get used to using them, it becomes easier to use them even when you are busy. Personally, I spent my first week learning to use the tools, and just tracking everything I was already eating and doing for exercise. It gave me a baseline to work from. It also gave me a chance to really decide what my goals were, and how to get there.
This site can only provide the support and the tools to reach these goals. You need to put the hard work in. Personally, I end up kicking my own butt every day. Feel free to check out my blogs to see how I kick my butt out the door to get my fitness in. I can tell you, once I am finished with my exercise for the day, I feel great. No more I should do this and I should do that. Instead, I feel accomplished, and able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day.

You can not change yesterday - it's done.
You can only dream of tomorrow.
The only day you can change is today.
What are you going to do today to reach your goals of tomorrow?
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it GREAT

Hi and welcome to the team!
I love your honesty. I had the same problem with my husband on days off (still do sometimes), but I have learned to keep my focus cause I feel so much better about myself. I am stronger than I thought. And so are YOU.
I plan my exercise for Monday to Friday with Saturday and Sunday off when hubby is home. If I get my husband to go on a walk with me (or bike ride in the summer) on the weekends - bonus fitness minutes. I also "budget" one treat on the weekend for myself. If I can, I make it as healthy as possible, if not, it's in the budget.
It's these little things that make you successful. I have lost 20 lbs three years ago on Sparks. Unfortunately, stress and heart problems put it back on no matter what I did. So I'm slowly moving ahead again. Don't be discouraged. How you feel about yourself each day for each little success is what makes this journey so worth it.

You have come to the best place for your weight loss journey. The food and fitness trackers keep you honest and you find out exactly how you are doing. We look forward to getting to know you better. Have fun and good luck.

Well first let me start by saying I'm so happy I found this site. It will take some getting used to but I think I will get through it! So far I have had one set back..when it's my husband's days off I fall off the wagon...very time! Is it bad that I use those 2 days as rest days and allow myself some treats? Keeping in mind though, I don't want to ruin the Orkney I have done the rest of the week!
I hope I will be able to stick to this and get a handle on those weight/ fitness thing. Being accountable to the food tracker already has me wanting to make good choices..who wants to write that they had a peanut buster parfait for supper! ( I didn't do that by the way). I have 3 huge motivators in my life...my husband.... I want to feel good enough about myself so that we can get some romance back. And my 2 kids. One is 3 and the other is 4 months. I want to be aable to show them healthy habits as well as be able to keep up with them.
There you have it. That is me....let's get moving and get healthy together!!!!
