So sorry to hear about your being diagnosed with Diabetes. Is it Type 1 or 2? My 14 y.o. grandson (who is far from being overweight is Type 1) and my brother-in-law is Type 2. They both eat very well and have learned to manage this medical condition.

Also every week I receive a newsletter from Spark People which deals with Diabetes. Go to your Start Page. At the top left corner, just under your Spark Name you will see a red link entitled Account/Email Management. Click on it. When you're on the new page, click on the folder Email. Click. Scroll down and check mark Diabetes Management.

I am so sorry to hear your bad news but the good news is you just might be able to diet your way out of this. There is so much excellent information on this site and you can sign up for a diabetic meal plan. Use your food tracker to track your carbs and the fitness tracker for your exercise. Let us know how you are doing. You might even want to check out the teams. I am sure there will be one for diabetics. Good luck! Donna
