Hello there and to our team!
What I love on Spark People is that the support is unlimited! You need motivation, read up on the success stories and/or post a query and someone will be there to help you along. It is always difficult to start something new but Spark People make it so easy for us all to achieve our ultimate goals. Take it step by step: a) study the site, b) incorporate good habits from the beginning, c) start exercising, etc.
As co-leader of this team I recommend that you check out the following link. This will inform you as to what is available to you on Spark People. Very useful ... It will actually help you get set up on SP.
Good luck on your journey and if you need help at any point, just drop me a line and I'll get back to you pronto.

Hi and welcome to the team!
I am new to Sparkpeople and am here to learn how to lose 31 to 36 pounds and keep it off. I am just starting and a friend of mine pointed this site out to me. Thank you Audrey! It reminds me of a site I used when I quit smoking many years ago. Many forums to help people. So I am happy to be here and could use some friends with similar goals to mine and similar interests. I am 60, love travelling, tolerate politics but still have a keen interest, love to cook but am changing that as well. I am challenged in a way in that I have been saddled with a few health issues with which I must cope. Some of these may even better themselves in response to me losing the excess weight. So looking forward to meeting some of you. I lost 40 odd pounds after I gained it when I quit smoking. Well then I added it back. Stumbles are lessons and I am hoping I can get on the weightloss train once again. But I am going to need support and I am very willing to offer mine to anyone in need of ideas to spark them so to speak. Thanks for listening. Nan (I once lived in eastern canada)
