I am only a few weeks new to Sparkpeople and already seeing a great change in not on ly me but my families eating habits! We are so used to popping in a pizza or picking up something in the moment of pressure but I am now trying to look not only at calories but sodium content and I have to say this has changed my outlook BIG TIME. I also want to be able to see my son's children grow up one day and be able to climb stairs without being winded. I love meat and chicken so not willing to give them up just trying to limit the amounts to proper portions now. Every little bit helps and all those little bits add up. One day at a time. Keep checking in that's what I am doing. Good Luck

What I love on Spark People is that the support is unlimited! You need motivation, read up on the success stories and/or post a query and someone will be there to help you along. It is always difficult to start something new but Spark People make it so easy for us all to achieve our ultimate goals. Take it step by step: a) study the site, b) incorporate good habits from the beginning, c) start exercising, etc.
As co-leader of this team I recommend that you check out the following link. This will inform you as to what is available to you on Spark People. Very useful ... It will actually help you get set up on SP.

Hi there! I am a mother of 2 children, a girl who is almost 8 and a boy who just turned 5! I have strugled all my life with my weight! I am wanting to loose enough to make me healthy again! I don't want to be my mother who is 60 and is having trouble walking and breathing! I also want to be able to play with my kids for a long time! Any support is what I need! The more the merrier! My husband of 11 years has type 1 diabetes so me eating better allows him to eat better! I am a farmer so have a hard time cutting out meat! And if I don't hace to the better!
