Yes, and good cheese it is too!! Actually I love living in a small community even though I grew up in Hamilton. I live about a kilometre from the village so I can walk there, but the only things there are a cheese factory, a feed store and 10 houses. Having to drive everywhere means that when I come home I'm really alone and at peace (and a long way from any temptations of eating - no fast food, no convenience stores open). I would find it very hard to go back to city life after 30 years here - cities are nice places to visit but....
Forfar like the cheese! I am from Richmond (not Richmond BC or Richmond Hill, lol) but little Richmond which is outside Ottawa. Love the small town but sometimes wish I didn't have to drive everywhere! Justyna
I have joy in my soul and joy in my step. Walk with me! Justyna

Hello fellow Ontariens. I just got back on the Spark People train and I can't wait for some exciting changes in the new year. I have been very busy with life and somehow things got shifted. Now, I am ready to get back into shape. Any London and area members?
Hi - I joined yesterday after stepping on the scale and having my eyes almost pop out of my head. I'm looking forward to this site - there are so many useful tools! I live in Orangeville Ontario - north west of the GTA. I've just moved up there and I'm loving it. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

I am brand new, just signed up today and I am also in Ontario. I live in the southern part of Ontario in Kitchener/Waterloo. I am originally from PEI. I was born in Charlottetown, PEI. When I was a few months old, my family moved to Hay River, NWT. When i was 5 we moved back to PEI to Victori-by-the-sea. I lived in PEI from the age of 5-22. I have to say I MISS the beautiful red dirt and everything about the Island. I grew up on the beach and now I haven't seen one in 4 years of moving to Ontario. I can't wait to go back to PEI for a visit, you never know we may just stay!!!!
Hi there and welcome to the team. I'm so sorry for your loss. I do know where you are coming from.I started sparks shortly after both my father and my sister died of cancer, three months apart. My sister lived 12 years longer than the doctors anticipated and my father lived 6 years more... I think the real lesson is to live every day like it is worth it, be happy with the things you have and love yourself. if you can make small changes towards a healthier you, then make them one at a time. Don't stress yourself out over this, make it a lifestyle choice. You can do it. It seems hard at first, and I do have trouble sometimes keeping up with this site, but it's worth it, and you are worth it! q
It wouldn't be a challenge if it wasn't challenging.
Hey everyone...just found this tonight and I hope that you can all help me lose this weight. Just lost my father to cancer, so I don't need the risk factor (or the stress!) of being overweight. Wishing my fellow Canucks the best of luck!
