I want to do couch to 5K or similar. The SO is taking January off from running (and doing more indoor cardio, pilates and the like), and I'm doing some indoor calisthenics and cardio. My body is showing its age and telling me, "no, you're out of shape and this hurts." So I think the goal is [1] use January to get the body back to being comfortable being used, and [2] in February, when the SO heads back outside for walking/running, start a C25K routine.

I've never been much of a runner (except being a sprinter on the track team way-back-when) because of asthma, but as an adult my asthma faded.

The other goal is not fitness related: it's get-the-h***-out-of-Alabama by summer.

Thanks for the post! I am a horrible leader, and I apologize! I am working full time, school full time, and chasing a 9 month old. Needless to say, my down time is when I am asleep. Anyway, how did everyone's year go? What goals do you have for this year?

I have started a habit of going to the gym in the morning before work...drop my little one off, hit the gym, work. I am planning on keeping that going in the new year.

It appears the 'team' has been inactive for quite a while ... hard to same about members, though.

In any case -- went strong in terms of SP in 2012, just tracking food. In late Sept. I started posting blogs. Then at the end of the year started using the message boards in preparation for 2013. 2012 was the lose-weight-year; 2013 is the get-in-shape-year (or at least get somewhat fitter ... not expecting 'ripped'!)

The advice? [1] keep tracking food, [2] and take it day by day!

How has this team done in the year 2012? Are there many still going strong?? I did really well until life changes in August. I have gained my weight back but know it was from my abandoning sparks and not the other way around. I know it works,I need to get motivated , and I need help doing it!! any suggestions from those that have kept at it ????? I let a few weeks of inconsistencies sabotage my progress. I am ready to start fresh! wedding in June will help motivate me I hope!!!
