Thought I'd introduce myself to the "class." I actually a SparkPeople ad in my Self magazine and was curious. And then when I asked my Facebook friends about diet buddies, people starting mentioning all sorts of plans. One was SparkPeople, so I joined.
So far, I really like it. It has a lot to offer, and I have to admit that I'm always enticed by the points I get. (I'm like a little kid getting a sticker every time I do something good!)
I turned 40 in May, and it wasn't exactly a banner year. I had knee problems (I think the answer was early arthritis) and migraines and a pass at high blood pressure. I've joined a gym and I have been going pretty regularly. But I need to buckle down and pay attention. The doctor encouraged me to lose 5 lbs (she said it will make all the difference). I want to lose more like 15 or 20.
Plus, with a cruise coming up in the spring, and being matron of honor in my best friend's wedding in September, I have other reasons to look good!
