hello! i feel the same as you, have gained about 30 pounds over the past 2-3 years, while all the time thinking about trying to lose! it's really easy to get discouraged and go back to old habits!

this is my first time on sparkpeople, and i bought the book as well. haven't read too much yet, but already found inspiration from it.

i generally do pretty well with holding myself accountable for about 2 weeks, then slide back into old routines. perhaps if i add you as a friend we can help keep each other going?

Hi everyone!

I have used SparkPeople prior, but constantly fell off the wagon. This time I am not making any excuses. I created a new username and I am ready to start the new year off right!

2011 was a rough year, weight wise. Earlier this year I was about 150lbs and only had 20lbs to lose. I steadily gained since then to my current weight of 175. I haven't been this heavy EVER. The only time I weighed this much was when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter 10 years ago!

I also got married in September and was at my heaviest. Pretty sad for me, especially since I have to constantly be reminded of how heavy I was everytime I look at a picture from the wedding. I had planned on getting down to my goal weight, but it didn't work out. Mostly from laziness, excuse making, and my love of eating.

Anyhow, I am looking to make some friends! Share your stories! Let's help eachother out!
