Hi, my name is Jayne and I too am starting again. This time I am going to get involved with posting and not just reading what others post. At age 52 (with 53 arriving in the new year) and at the weight I am, I will be taking the exercising very slowly. Time to bring out the Wii fit and other games. By next Christmas, I expect to not be so worried about struggling to get through a hot Christmas day. I live in Adelaide, Australia and Christmas eve was 39 degrees Celsius (over 100 farenheit) this year but thankfully Sunday was a lot cooler.

Hi all. I just signed up for Sparkpeople too. I've used this site before but not for several years. I have a lot to work on this year and I'm going to start slow. I am unable to exercise right now but I need to get my eating plan cleaned up. I've just been eating junk. I'll probably be having surgery on my foot in January and then will have to be completely off of it for 8 weeks. Normally I would wait until the foot was fixed before I start this but everything doesn't have to be perfect to start making improvements. I am expecting my first granddaughter in April. I desperately want to improve my health and energy level so that I can enjoy this year. I wish you all the best in your pursuit of better health and happiness.
