Welcome, Sweets!

The process of building SPark friends and supporting each other through your journey's to healthy eating (and losing weight in most cases), was one of my favorite parts of the process when I joined in 2009. The key is to visit team sites regularly, post in the discussion areas, click the blogs on the team stream. Read and comment on other SParkers' blogs etc. Write your own blogs, sharing your experiences, etc. Over time, you will find several friends who are faithful to encourage you, just as you encourage them. I have certainly developed some wonderful encouraging relationships with people I may never recognize, if they walked by me on the street.

Enjoy the process and Welcome to SP!

I joined sparkpeople as most of you to lose weight and to become a healthier person. It"s been a few weeks and the journey is going great! I've lost my first six pounds and I'm excited about it. I want to meet people who have some of the same goals I do, which probably will bring most if all of us together. I will be content just to meet a few people who I can team up with. This isn't an easy journey but it is a journey that can bring great joy and I want to share this experience with many of you so I'm hoping that you feel the same way too. I'm already Counting It All Joy in meeting YOU.
