Welcome!!! You're starting right. Take one step at a time and don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Research tells us that food journaling (which with SP is using the Nutrition Tracker) is probably the most important step on the journey to healthy eating. I suggest starting with it first as you slowly learn the rest of the site.
Soon behind the Nutrition Tracker, I believe are reading Spark articles and developing a network of "friends" who will support you. That can best be done by getting involved in a few teams that interest you. Be sure to post to the discussion forums (as you've done here) and respond to other posts!
