Glad you're reading the Spark! It is possible to lose weight even though you're menopausal! There are PLENTY of Sparkers who will attest to returning to their slender teenage sizes after menopause, and being more fit than when they were teens. I'm DEFINITELY more fit at 52 than I was at 12 or 22, and I'm the same weight I was at 18.
The key is to not expect too much too fast. Commit to baby steps for the long term. I listed several suggestions in my Spark letter that you should have received after signing-up. Good luck and call on me if you need me.
Also, be sure to get involved in the Spark support teams. Post messages on team forums and be sure to reply to other messages. We all need encouragers, and as others support you, you will be a great support to others!

I just picked up The Spark book from Borders. I have tried just about everything to lose weight and it seems to be a losing battle esp after menopause. But, I'm not a quitter and I didn't grow up heavy- just creeped up over the years, So, I will give this program a try and see what happens. My apparent obstacles are lack of sleep, emotional eating, and dependency on sweets to boost my energy and morale. I have never looked into online support, but am willing to share my journey . My goal is to lose weight and be the person that reflects who I really am.
