This is my 2nd account on SP too. Oh well here I go again, back to square one where I started the last time.
I am having a hard time setting up my Ticker this time around. Yes, I went into Start, went into community, had my start weight n goal weight then when I hit enter it tells me to enter my start n goal weight again. It won't save, please help me.
Thanks in advance for your help. emoticon

Thanks! I am a type A person and slowing down and taking my time is not an easy test so I have to remind myself, I got this way over years and it might take a couple of years to get it off!

BCraig, I LOVE your mantra, "One bite at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time." You're on your way to long-term change. Way to go!

I am in your group! I am in your class! I am new to this and yet everything you wrote could have been me! WOW! I think shame is the diet devils friend! That little monster sits around waiting for us to fail and then makes us feel guilty so eat more or move less. If you need me I am here for you to help you kick his little diet wrecker's hiney! I know the emotions you are feeling they are very familiar to me. I am not good about celebrating doing right 95% of the time, I focus on doing wrong that lousy 5% of the time. I jumped in here and I am going to use every tool they have to fight the diet wrecker in me!

Welcome back! You're among many in this new SP class who are doing it for the second time. Motivation is a key ingredient of long-term success, so you're wise to acknowledge the need for encouragers. I encourage you to find other Spark Teams that align with your interests, and visit people's pages that interest you and add them as Spark Friends. Your blogs will show up on team pages and friends' feeds, and that is the best way to get feedback. (The more places your blogs show up, the more people who will likely have time to respond!)

Good luck!
Diane

hello, this is my 2nd sparkpeople account...i gave up the first time ::shame:: but i finally got the pluck up to try again.
i want to do the 30-day shred dvd all through sept into october. i've never been a skinny girl, but over the past 3 or 4 years i've ballooned to (gulp) almost 200 lbs! i'm at 197 and have never been bigger. i didnt realize i had let myself go this much (i'm lucky enough that the weight distributed itself quite evenly, so it LOOKS like i'm about 170...still not good!), and i'm really wanting to get back to a more healthy weight.
i need some MAJOR support from my sparkteam (i dont have much support IRL) to stay motivated. so please, any comments on the blog (i'll be tracking my daily workout there) or my page or in the forum would be SO appreciated!
