Welcome back to Spark People and to the SP Class of September 4-10, 2011 (Labor Day Week )! Reaching goals and getting healthy is what our group is all about.
Thank you for jumping right in and posting to this forum. Encouraging others and developing SP relationships help with the accountability and motivation factor when will-power takes a dip. Participating in team discussion threads is a great way to meet others and find your "personal encourager network." We're in this together!
Happy to meet you!

Hi all. I am "new," but not new to spark. This is my 2nd time around. I thought I could make it out in the real world alone, but alas I decided I needed you guys more than I thought. I still have a long way to go in my quest to be the healthiest me I can be.
I joined Spark when my husband was deployed in 2009. I started woring out when my kids went to bed and was able to lose 50 pounds. Eventually I started hiring someone to come out to watch the kids for me time and my me time started becoming work out time. I started running. I always thought I hated running before Spark, but I soon found that running on the open pavement was time that I could be free in my own mind, it is truly a liberating experience. It wasn't too log before I decided to challenge myself to run long distances and and became a three time half marathon runner (and here I thought I hated running before Spark when being a slug seemed like a good idea)!
When my husband returned home in 2010, home demands were too much and I thought I could do it on my own so I gave up Spark and started gaining weight. After gaining about 20 pounds back, I started working out and eating right and geting back to my Spark habits here lately.
Last night checking my email I had an advertisment from Spark in my email. I took that as a sign to rejoin Spark. So here I am again.
So this is who I am:
I am a mom of two adopted kiddos. I have a four year old daughter named Alaina and a five year old son named Aaron. Aaron started Kindergarten this year (yeah)!!!! As I mentioned earlier, I am a military wife. My husband is in the Army National Guard and is currently on Active Orders locally for the time being. I work full time fas an "Office Coordinator" (glorified title for a secretray with better pay) for a busy department in a Hospital. And as I mentioned beforehand I really enjoy running (sometimes I just have to kick myself in the keister to remind myself that I like it)!
