The good news is working out sometimes helps a cold, at least it does for me! So hopefully you will sweat out some of them nasty toxins.

I have had some back problems including sciatica in my past. That is some nasty and uncomfortable stuff. Do a lot of stretching!!!!! It may hurt as you are stretching, but it will only help the more you do it. I did find the more I strengthened my core and the more stretching I did, the less my back hurt. Hopefully you find the same. I was supposed to be on muscle relaxers for the longest time, but I kinda refused because it made it hard to function and at the time my husband was in Iraq. When he is away for duty I will never take anything that makes me out of it because we have small kids. Ok back to the point, your doctor may suggest you take a muscle relaxer. If you take a muscle relaxer you will want to be careful when you work out that you don't overdo your work outs because you feel "great" from the medicine if you know what I mean.

Hi everyone. I just joined a couple of hours ago and despite this cold I seem to be getting I've made sure to get in my workout. With luck I can stick with it despite the illness. This weekend my husband and I started a "diet" which he claims is trying to kill him. Really we're just eating healthier and trying out foods we normally never eat. I have a back injury with may or may not be sciatica. I'm getting an MRI at the end of the month to find out what it is. I know for sure that my weight isn't helping my back any. I used to be a lot more active but for the last few years I've stayed inside a lot. Even though the bad weather has already started I want to make sure I get active. I'm looking forward to everything to come.
