Hi, my name is Tammy and I live in Burleson, TX, just south of the DFW area. I'm married to the most wonderful man, have a daughter, and two step-daughters (all in their mid to late 20s). I also have the most adorable 1-year-old granddaughter! Mary, it seems funny to me that we are about the same age (I'm 46), and your boys are so young, and my girls are so old!!! I don't know that I could keep up with three little boys these days.
Like you, I know what to do to lose weight and get healthy, but I just don't stick with it. A joke with some of my friends is that I wake up on Monday morning saying this is going to be the time I stick with it, do well on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but by Wednesday night I am stressed, tired and ready for Mexican food and a margarita. I work in education, so I am off work until the end of July. I am committed to really changing my eating and exercising habits while I'm off work, so I will have the willpower to make it a lifestyle change by the time I go back to work. Thanks for creating this challenge, because I need the challenge and the motivation.
Hi! My name is Mary and I live in St. Louis MO with my husband and three little boys. I started this year at 250 pounds (which was not good, since I'd put thirty of those on last year!) and had a real wake-up call at my annual physical, not only with the scale but with elevated blood pressure as well. I took the first 10 off pretty easily, but I've stalled out, so I'm challenging myself, and all of you, to step it up!
I think most of us KNOW the things we need to do to be fit. 1. Move our bodies. 2. Watch what we eat. 3. Repeat as necessary. I think it's step three that hoses most of us up. We can all do it for a little while, but we need to turn it into real lifestyle changes for the long haul.
I'm looking forward to getting to know some like-minded folks willing to take this 90 day journey with me and hopefully forge some new great habits together.
