I'm doing intuitive eating. That has always worked best for me. This week alone I lost 5 pounds! I'm finally going in the right direction. AND going strong!

Hi! Thanks for the welcome! I just went out today and picked up the Mayo Clinic Diet from the Library. I'll check it out and see. 1200 calories is just what I need to lose weight. How long have you been doing the MCD?

Hi Debbie, Welcome to Sparkpeople and the petites! When I am following it I lose weight on the Mayo Clinic diet which is 1200 calories. If your getting the Petite Advantage @ the library you might want to see if they have the Mayo Clinic Diet book, too. emoticon

I'm 5'0. I seen the book in the bookstore today. Then there is a thread for it on this team. I guess what I seen in this book is basically calorie cycling. 1100, 1100, 1600 calories. You keep doing that every 3 days. I'm not sure if I'd want to spend the money on it. I do believe I don't need as many calories as someone over 5'4. I know if I have 1200 calories I lose. Also, what I didn't like it was high protein. I guess maybe keep doing what I have been doing. LOL

Anyway....thanks for the welcome.
