Crazygrad sent me an invitation to this challenge and I'm hoping to take it on.

I'm 27 and I'm training for a Tough Mudder in July. I know I'm not going to do fantastically but none of us really are. Except for the girl who put together the team of course, but then she's done it before. :)

I've been looking for a team to join, but I haven't found any that are a good fit for me. I was intrigued by the name of this team and am intrigued, challenged, and motivated by the goal. It's clear and simple...no frills or list of things to keep in mind to check off as I go. I'm in!! :)

Hi everyone,
I'm april, I've lost about 145 lbs, about 20 to go. Currently I am training for my fifth half marathon, so Iwill be exercising a lot.....I have to say I do take a day off to rest because on the long run day, I'm outside for 2-3 hours and currently running about 25-27 miles a week, so I need it. But I think the idea of exercising daily is good (and if walking the dog counts....lol, I have everyday in:).
Looking forward to chatting with everyone and encouraging and being encouraged.
P.s. I teach exercise classes on the side and I am a certified group trainer-if you need tips, specific exercises , etc. I'm happy to help out.

I'm Lisa. I'm 50 and live in Florida. I had lost somewhere around 75 pounds about 4 years ago, mostly through LOTS of workouts and going to bed hungry. After that, I met my now-husband and have gained back around 40 of the weight that I lost. I've been working out hard but keep injuring myself and gaining weight, anyway. I like the year and a day concept of this challenge and have always been drawn to the Celtic, anyway, so it's a good fit. I need to use the time to learn what wellness and fitness means to my body because I'm really tired of hurting myself!

Hi everyone. I am Darlene from Mississippi. I heard about the challenge from CRAZYgrad. I have lost over 100 pounds and have roughly 85 more to go. I know the importance of fitness but when not involved in a challenge have issue staying motivated so I am hoping this challenge will keep me going .

I live in Monmouth County. (It's in the middle silly!) And I love Cape May, especially Wildwood. Best Boardwalk. I get in trouble for saying that since I live so close to Point Pleasant Beach.

Wildlife, fisheries, and aquaculture. My thesis was on reducing nutrients from leaving aquaculture ponds using diches with small check dams.

My plan is 2 workouts a day. One in the morning with the fiancé and one after walking the dog at night.

Welcome Corrin! Congratulations on getting your Grad degree! What is it in? I KNOW grad school is tough. The original founder of this team, a close friend of mine since our undergrad, is now working on her doctorate and I've heard her horror stories from our first graduation onward! All the feels!

As for your 60 minutes, if you feel like it's t0o much, break it up throughout the day! If 2-30 minute workouts, 3-20 minute workouts, or 6-10 minute workouts fitted in between other obligations work better for you, go for it! It just has to total 60 by the end of the day. And we have some warm-up time before the official challenge. I'm spending that time making plans and back-up plans.

Hi, I'm Corrin. 33 years old and in the midst of planning a wedding which will be in July. I just finished grad school in June and started s new job. During grad school I gained 30lbs back of the 40lbs I lost in the 2 years before that. The second time is mentally harder. I love the story of cu chulainn and was excited to be invited to this group. I don't want to go into this doubting, but I've never succeeded at sucha lofty exercise goal. But, I think this will be good for me!

Karen, age 56..(I think...you lose track after awhile), widowed last year. Tough couple of years in a row - gained something like 60 pounds. I know I can't get back everything I've lost, but I can get back the woman I used to be physically - reasonably slender, very strong, and willing to tackle just about anything. The mental, emotional and spiritual stuff I can handle elsewhere - I'm here for the physical challenge.

I don't have Irish blood that I know of, but lots of Highlander Scots!
