Now that you have joined this educational and supportive team, you are starting on the journey to actually begin your feasting. There are several suggestions that will help you through the initial phases of the feast making it much less stressful for you.
1)If you are drinking alcoholic beverages of any type stop at least 2 months before starting the feasting. Get into a support group if need be.
2)If you are a smoker please kick the habit at least 90 days prior to juice feasting.
3)If you take any recreational drugs, including smoking marijuana, please cease 90 days before starting your feasting.
4)If you are taking any medically prescribed medications and under the care of a doctor, psychiatrist, or any practitioner, get their approval and have them monitor you to reduce your meds during the healing process.
5)If you are on the Standard American Diet pathway to disease and death, start converting over to a plant-based eating program and get off the phakephood. Start the conversion 3 months prior to feasting. There are many teams on Spark that will assist you in this. The more plants you consume in their natural state, organic if possible, the better off your body and mind will be prepared for the feast.
6)60 days prior to your feasting go high raw. Get as much of the cooked food out of your system as you can. High raw is 80% on up. It is doable especially with drinking green smoothies daily. You will find links to the Raw Foodies and Green Smoothie Lovers team in my signature area. Join them.
7)30 days prior to your feasting join the Low Fat Raw Vegan team. Going low fat will help your body to start eliminating the animal fat that is stored in your body which will help you that much more when feasting.
8)One week prior to your feasting start date start drinking 1 quart of green juice. The fastest and easiest way to make a quart is to make a green smoothie and put it into a nut milk bag. Squeeze the bag until the juice is out of the pulp.
9)One week prior to your feasting start date inform your at home support team. Get everything out of the way on the home front so that your first week you can concentrate on the ins and outs of your new program. You will not want to have unneeded distractions.
Doing all the above will take effort and concentration on you and your health. This is a precurser to what the feast is all about. 100% concentration on you. By doing this you will be giving the best of you to your loved ones. They will benefit from a healthier, happier, more loving you. That is a priceless gift of giving.
