Hi ..I',m Terry...Lately, I've been hearing alot about the benifits of juicing. at home..although I really don;t care for store bought juices (too much sugar!) I woull like the fresh wholesome juices made at home...
I haven't bought a juicer yet..is there any brand that you out there like better than others? I look forward to working with you all and learning everything I can to improve my health

I have been overweight for as long as I can remember and recently I learned that I have a brain tumor which was hindering my efforts to lose weight no matter what I did. In spite of my medical situation (i refuse to call it an issue or illness #stubborn lol) I have never stopped trying to lose weight and become the healthy person i know I am on the inside.

I recently discovered 2 life changing documentaries, Hungry for change, and of course Fat sick and nearly dead, the titles spoke of my internal struggle for change. It is important to mention that in all seriousness, if I don't lose a pound, but I am healthy and clean I would be happy and that realization was the foundation for this lifestyle change.

If beautiful skin, clearer eyes and weight loss are the side effects from a clean and healthy body well i guess i can live with those!

The short answer is, I am juice feasting to have a clean body! I have never been excited to change my life like i am about juicing!

Yes i know it wont be all roses and rainbows but I am ready for whatever it brings!

well...I didn't really consciously decide...I've been on a journey towards better health by going wheat free in July, lost 15 pounds and was super excited...and all was going 'well' until my car accident in November that derailed me completely and I just threw in the towel and went back to eating, actually worse then I was before, just whatever i wanted, I had two...it was pretty bad. So my body revolted on me last week and my appetite for any type of food went to nil and I started 'thinking' about juicing. And as of Sunday, I started my own little idea of a juice feast...and now, typical me, I'm doing the research to see exactly what it is I've gotten myself into...Im blogging about the experience everyday, sometimes twice a day and the psychological effects are astounding and a little overwhelming. Since its my first one, I'm not really putting a time period on it. I would be happy with surviving for two weeks and super psyched if I make it a full 30 days, but I'm sure my body will tell me when its over it and we are back to where we need to be.

I have chosen to juice fast because I have done it before and I felt absolutely phenomenal from the experience.

It was if the sun was shining brighter when I was clean. My thoughts were so clear, my body was full of energy and I had an overall great disposition.

I realized when fasting that all those years of S.A.D. had made me a lethargic, cloudy headed mangle of lazy bones.

I am so glad that I did the first one and I am now embarking on a second even longer one.

I have been a juicer for over a year now. I also am interested in being healthy and stronger. I am interested in green smoothies too. Should I do both? I juice daily for breakfast and have a green salad for lunch. I didn't realize there were so many things to consider. I started my juicing with a juice fast last summer. It was very cleasing and healing. I am in good health now but want to stay that way!

Seeking to please Him

Hello! I'm new to the team. My name is Olivia. I watched Fat,Sick, and nearly dead almost a month ago and it has changed my life in so many ways. I realized I must do something to change my lifestyle. I have bought a juicer and I'm on Day 3 of Juicing. So far I feel a little drained, and the cravings are kicking in. Other than that, I'm doing good and looking forward to having this team as a support system!! This has been such a great journey so far!

Have you looked into 80/10/10 lifestyle? There is a book out on that subject that I recommend to read, also you can check out 30bananasaday.com website
The idea is to eat high carbs low fat, which would consist of TONS of fruits, a little bit of veggies and about a pound of greens a day. The way I eat is: lots of fruits for breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and then big salad for dinner. That really helps staying 100% raw and you are not limited in how much fruits you can eat. When you stay on 80/10/10 you need to consume much more calories than someone who eats processed foods, because fruits are mostly water. Look into this, may be this is your missing link to success emoticon

Thanks. It's still a bit of a stuggle figuring out the details of how I will come off of juicing because I like raw fruits, nuts and a some veggies but I really like my veggies juiced or cooked:) I am not much of a raw veggie eater which makes it harder for me. Not much into salads, that's why juicing works much better. Juicing is easy, coming off is not so much:)

Welcome to the team, PINK_KEE. I have also found that staying on the long term juice feast is much easier than trying to do a modified one, where you eat a little. For me it has to be either food or juice, I can't do combination of both long term.. Glad you enjoyed your juice feast so much and jumped back into it, please make sure to follow proper guidelines if you going to stay on juices long term, I did 92days over the winter and know that if not done properly it can do more harm than good. Wishing you all the best on your journey, feel free to ask question.

Hi, Just joined the team! I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead 3 weeks ago and it has changed my life! I started out by doing the 10 day juice fast and felt FANTASTIC (and lost 13 pounds)!!! I decided that I was going to go back to eating one meal a day and just start supplementing juice 2 x's a day after my 10 days. Well a week into it I started slipping back into my old habits quickly and I started feeling foggy and tired and sluggish again so I am back on the juice fast because I actually love it! It tastes great to me and it's a no-brainer to me. No calorie counting, fat watching and wondering what I am going to make for dinner. The only hard part is making dinner for my family! I know it's a mental thing but nonetheless it is very difficult some days! So happy I found Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.... It has been a huge eye opener ~ exactly what I needed:)

Juice feasting is something that is done AFTER cleaning up ones diet. I recommend continuing juicing and adding a fruit smoothie with fruit only to your morning ritual replacing what you normally eat. Then for lunch do a green smoothie the following week. The 3rd week replace all snacks with fresh vegies and/or fruit. The 4th week replace your dinner with a humongous salad with blended fruits/vegies on top.

The healthier you can eat prior and after a juice feast the more health you will have.

I am tired of being sick and tired. I want to be healthy. I am green juicing once a day, though I would gradually like to consume a mainly juice diet eventually.

This is my beginning journey to having a stronger body.
My body has been beaten down by a lifetime of major seasonal, food, additive, preservative allergies.
Today is not only day 1 of a 30 day juice fats but I woke to find seasonal allergy season has started.
I am not feeling good at all right now but I drank my delicious juice knowing I was putting healthy ingredients into my body.
It was a glass of hope to lift my spirits as I take my first steps. :o)

Thank you all for being here...

Juice feasting is not for the goal of a thinner body, a fad, nor to just do on a whim. It is a sound proven way to heal the body, the mind, the spirit. We here take this on with great planning and great respect to the healing modality and to ourselves.

Most of us here are wanting to take our health to greater heights in the least amount of time, problems, and expense.

Whatever reason you are choosing to feast, please share it with the team. If you are under a doctor's care with his/her blessing, please also state that in your posting.

We want you to have a safe and successful experience. If you are on medication or under the care of a doctor, it is important to consult with him/her first before embarking on this course.
