Hi. Welcome to the team. You are so worthwhile and the effort. Towards the end of my journey, I am maintaining now, I was losing 1/2 a pound a week. It took me almost 2 years to lose 117 pounds. That is alright though, because it is now a habit and I live a healthy lifestyle. I am worth the wait and so aren't you.

Weight like your age is just a number. Eating right and exercising make your body healthier and less in volume. Like others have said, the hard work is yours but we can encourage you. Make changes slowly for permanent habit changes that stick! Following WWers is a great plan. How long have you been following it?

you think you are 43(sounds like a story there)welcome we all have our struggles which is why we are here in the first place.sounds like you know what you have to do it is just the doing gets in the way.you know what they say if it is worthwhile(and you are worth it)then do it .we can help support and inspire you but in the long run the hard work we have to do ourselfs.if i can help in anyway let us know.most important is not to obcess over the scale.look more to non scale victories. are your clothes loser? do you get less out of breath climbing the stairs? is exercise getting easier? are you in a better mood? etc,etc. rember at all times you are doing this for you,your health and you are worth the work it takes to get there.you derserve to be the best you you can be and only you have the power.

I am here by invitation of my first Sparkpeople friend...NJEANA. Like many people here, I am not new to this weight loss game. I am currently losing VERY slowly with Weight Watchers (turns out that weekly number comes to -.1 pound per week. Don't miss the decimal point there.) ....but I need some friendship and help. I am stuck at 202.8 pounds and have actually gained about 1.2 pounds since I started doing BodyPump about two months ago. (I know....all the yammer about muscle vs. fat, etc. But let's face it....that's not the direction I want to go, even if I am less-soft).
I am 43 (I think) and need to lose about 45 to 50 pounds. I know my vice....red wine. I have seen the enemy....and I keep inviting her in for a visit! I do faithfully track with WW every day, even if I have wine. I know that I need to work out (cardio) but like nothing about that.
