HI! Wanted to introduce myself. I am here as many to lose some weight, but mostly to just Get Healthy!!! I have had some health struggles lately that have made me realize I am not getting any younger and I need to get it together. I am currently at 190.8 this morning (started at 192 yesterday) and really need to lose a total of 52 pounds and get as close as possible to the 140 mark. I am only 5.4 so 140 is the Most I can weight and still have a healthy BMI, but I feel like that is a good place to start. I have a grade 3 MCL tear I am healing from so I am currently limited to walking and the incumbent bike. I also do some gentle yoga and beginning tai chi classes that I love. I look forward to moving towards some more challenging stuff. However, I have anhydrosis (born with no sweat glands) so I can not do strenuous cardio activities or anything that causes me to get too hot. That means I usually work out alone, or with an older crowd. It can be a little depressing sometimes, but I see people who have taken good care of themselves and how well they look as they age. I have sons who are 2, 4, and 5 years old who I want to keep up with as we all get older. I also have a 15 year old daughter and loving husband who I want to encourage to be healthy and be good examples for them. So doing this thing right is important to me. I am a total weight yo-yoer and my intent this time to find support, good healthy friends, and make some real life style changes that will help me stop the rollercoaster. I look forward to meeting some new great people on their own journey.
