I am new to this team as well, and a new-ish Sparker, and so far it has been a great experience. Check in with your teams and buddies every day. Have you read the Fast Break plan under "SparkDiet" - it's a great way to get a couple weeks of small successes under your belt for encouragement and motivation.
As our other Team Indygirl friends have said in other replies to your joining message, it's about a lifestyle change for long term health. Start small, build one success at a time, and when you fall off the horse, pick yourself up, brush off the dust, and get back on again. Notice I said "when" not "if" because no one is perfect, but persistence will win the day.
