I am new to this team as well, and a new-ish Sparker, and so far it has been a great experience. Check in with your teams and buddies every day. Have you read the Fast Break plan under "SparkDiet" - it's a great way to get a couple weeks of small successes under your belt for encouragement and motivation.
As our other Team Indygirl friends have said in other replies to your joining message, it's about a lifestyle change for long term health. Start small, build one success at a time, and when you fall off the horse, pick yourself up, brush off the dust, and get back on again. Notice I said "when" not "if" because no one is perfect, but persistence will win the day.

Nice to have you on the team. This is a very supportative team so don't hesitate to reach out. The best things I've learned this year on SP would be to make small changes that you can live with the rest of your life. This is about a lifetime journey not a "diet" where you lose weight by a certain date and then go back to all the old habits that got you where you are today. Also, that consistency is key. I can't expect to eat healthy for 3 days and suddenly expect weight to come off, especially if the other 4 days of the week were filled with junk food. It's about making one good choice after another and most of all, when I don't have a good day, I've learned not to beat myself up about it.
I was absolutely inspired by your story and your group! I really did I say REALLY need support and it looks like you guys talk a lot which is exactly what I need. I have over 150 pounds to lose and I am recently divorced so that doesnt help cause I feel sad and discouraged all the time. Please help me in this. I need all of the diet and exercise and food and everythng I advise you have to offer!
