My name is Alicia and this is my second time attempting this challenge. The first time was 3 years ago right before I met my husband and it was really helping me shed pounds! And then life got in the way and I stopped being dedicated. Three years and 40 pounds later, I've decided to get back at it and I'm doing much better. Hoping to stick with it better this time and reach my goal by my 30th birthday next year!

Hello, I am Donna and am starting the challenge today. I have done well but have become slack lately so this will be my summer boost doing the spring challenge :). I tracked my 45 min walk and will check out the video when I get home.

I just finished the 28 day boot camp challenge, and now my sister and I are going to do this one together. Hoping for my longest streak yet of activity. I lost 7.5 lbs in the other boot camp; I'm gonna try to do even better with this one.

Well I have been thinking about how I need to change up my fitness and do something new. Then I saw this challenge posted on facebook. It seems like just what I need. I've been a spark member off and on but more recently off. I think change is great and can always give your workouts a boost.

I like to walk and do zumba for cardio. I have slacked off on weight/strength training so this challenge looks like it will get me to do that, too.

I'm starting on Sunday.

I did a Facebook challenge starting 3/26 and did a 10k (run/walk) on 3/29 and had great momentum since then up until two weeks ago. No particular reason. I have no idea why I just stopped. I am still eating well. It's the lack of exercise that is what is getting to me. Yesterday I signed up for an 8K to be run in September so will have a reason to run/train. I think I need the challeges to keep me motivated. I am almost halfway to my goal. Good luck everyone! Have a wonderful Memorial Day/weekend!

Hi all,

My name is Christi (AKA - Zen Alpaca) I am turning 40 in June and I have decided that it is time to get back into shape. Enough being lazy and taking the easy road.

I am a former active duty Marine. And my biggest goal would be to fit back into my uniform. I am a size large now so to do that I would need to get back to a small.

I have been on Spark for 5 days and so far It has helped me stay the course. I just got the ok yesterday from my Dr to get back into the physical world so after work I started.

This will be great for a kick start and the words Boot camp is music to my ears... it is exactly what I need to get my butt in gear.

Hoping I lose an additional 5 lbs by 5/14 (my birthday) and then another 25 lbs after that. Hello everyone. My name is Trisha and I joined this team in hope of finding the supportive help I need to become more motivated to work on my non-walking days. I have trouble with consistency. I have the figured out the exercise program that I feel comfortable doing and I think that's a good start but, jumpstarting my engine is still a problem. Too many years of living comfortably on my behind and I have fibromyalga as a ready handicap excuse or the snow is still falling and it's supposed to be springtime and flowers. I know I'm supposed to feel better when I exercise but so far all I feel is tired and sore. I want to keep pushing so my body can get stronger than it ever has been and I know I have to work harder to achieve this so I'm hoping this team will help me to be more accountable.

To me HEALTH means Energy. Stamina. Flexibilty. A relatively pain free body. Enjoying healthy food. You are your body, and your weight loss efforts will succeed exactly to the extent that you mange to do the work on behalf of your embodied self. Hello all, my name Donna & I joined this challenge for several reasons. one reason of course is to shed pounds, inches, or centimeters lol, whatever I can get. another reason is because I get so overwhelmed with so much information like what to eat, what not to eat, strength or cardio exercises, fat loss or fitness sometimes it's just too much to think about. But with this challenge I don't have to think about it at all, just pick the day and do the exercises and that makes it easier for me. emoticon

Hello all!

I am re-committing to the Sparkpeople program since I found out my blood sugar and A1C levels are in the pre-diabetic range and my cholesterol is officially high enough to go on meds. I think this is the wake-up call I need to get off my lazy behind and get moving and watching what goes into my mouth. I actually exercised yesterday for the first time in months, albeit a short duration on the exercise bike, but today I am relaxing with an ice pack after having my back injected with cortisone in 3 spots.

At 262, I need to lose 112 lbs, but I'm starting with small goals, 10 lbs by the end of this 4-week challenge. Best of luck and kudos to everyone taking on the challenge!

I just finished the Live Healthy Iowa 10 week challenge. I started strong and ended, well, not so strong due to a nasty cold that I think I'm finally recovering from. So, I need a new challenge to get me back on track. I would like to lose 10 pounds by Memorial Day, including the 3-4 that I added back while being sick. :(
I have lots of plans for the spring/summer with updating our home and gardening and t-ball with the kids, etc. I also want to do an obstacle course race sometime! So, I need to get fit, lose this extra winter weight, and have some more energy!

Hi! I am new again! I started this challenge almost a year ago but fell off the wagon and nver completed so I am back and this time I will succeed! emoticon

My husband and I are motivating each other to lose weight, eat healthier and exercise at least 6 days a week!

I've been away for several years but am now excited to get started again! My oncologist says I have to lower my weight to 178 in order to get my BMI out of the obese category. I've been trying on my own for a couple years,but have just recently remembered to try Sparkpeople again. Wish me luck! emoticon
