Congratulations Jessica, on taking this step, and letting others know of your goals. That is so true, what you read, about people losing the weight and still finding out that the other issues in their lives are still there.
Blogging is a great way to start (like writing this thread). Seeing things in black and white sometimes makes the way around obstacles crystal clear. Sometimes it doesn't but other people can offer advise and perhaps you can find something useful in their words. And sometimes, you just need to write things down, not necessarily looking for answers.
I wish you well as you begin this process. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
I'm am Jessica and have used Spark off and on for a year. I read a blog the other day of a success story that has totally shaken me. This women started out at the same weight as me and had lost 100 pounds or more. She was asked what was the hardest part of her journey. She said," that it was thinking that losing the weight would make her happy and then after losing realizing she still wasn't happy". She realized that alot of her unhappiness wasn't her weight but other things, feelings, emotions she had supressed. So I have been doing some soul searching, I don't like my weight. But I know I have some stuff, I have to deal with. The fact that I am writing this is a miracle cause one of my issues is trusting. With having the Men in my life not be reliable, I have keept myself guarded. So here we go. I want someone to know my goals. I would like to lose 50 to 100 pounds. Don't want to set a time on it, in case I don't reach it? (Is this another issue? Commitment) Just trying to figure it all out! I do know one thing I want to have fun and enjoy life! I haven't been doing much of either! I have a 3 year old and she deserves a better example. So I am needing encouragement and support, and want to be a success story!!
