Breakfast tacos...oh so hard for me to give up, but I've done a great job. Instead of 2 or 3 times a week, I'll treat myself 2 or 3 times a month.

Telling myself I have too much to do to stop and exercise

Weighing myself every day

Eating because I'm bored or because it tastes so darn good!

Expecting to lose weight faster than reality

I know no one's posted here in months... but here are things I've given up and have helped me get closer to my goal:

1. Energy drinks. Originally it was caffeine in general but I started going through withdrawal. I'll let myself have 3 or 4 cups a week, and I'll be in a great mood after, and I can fit it into my diet fine.
2. Pasta. I love pasta. But it's also what caused me to come back to SparkPeople. Which I guess was a good thing. Basically I was having pasta every day and I was just watching my weight go up, so I decided typically, no pasta, except on special occasions.
3. Yolk. I recently decided to try those eggs that come in cartons and are 100% whites. They taste great, last much longer, and are so much healthier. I'm not sure why I never considered them before.

I don't think with me it is a matter of giving up as much as limiting and portion control-getting my water intake-getting to bed at a reasonable time so that I don't late night eat. Getting up and moving instead of sitting and reading or playing on the computer. Adding the exercise that I know that I need to do.

As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Fear of people seeing you exercise is a good one. I never thought of that one. Even after all this time, I still don't like people to see me exercise.
