Hi Denise,
You're welcome. That is a good phrase. I started this life change for the same reasons you did. I wanted to lose weight, and get healthy and sustain myself at the same time. Just knowing that you feel better when you eat healthy is showing you that this is what your body needs and wants. So good for you for doing this week and getting yourself prepared in your body and mind emoticon . If you need anything, just look me up,I'm on here all day off and on. I'd be happy to help any way I can.

Thanks so much Sherry for the words of encouragement. One thing that I really liked in the book is the phrase, "Eat the weight you want to be," but I agree, it is about more than the weight. I want to eat for vitality, disease reduction and general health. I also KNOW that I feel better when I eat whole, healthy food.

I'm glad I am doing this week as I need to prepare my emotions and attitude and make sure that I am really changing my relationship with my old life versus my new life and food.

You not only have to "prepare" your home, but your heart and mind also. This journey is not just about the food. It has to be about you and your desire to change your life. You have to convince yourself that you are not on a "diet", but a life change. Diets don't work as everyone knows. There are thousands of them out there, and if they worked, it would only take one, wouldn't it? You have to take this on as a way of life, not just something to do to help you to lose weight and then you can go back to "living". It has to be a way of living that you can do for life. I say get rid of the junk and think of it as your old way of life. Your new way of life is about giving yourself what it needs, and deserves. A healthy life filled with the abundance of things that are going to sustain and replenish you.

I recently read the SuperFoods Rx Diet Book and am currently in the Prepare and Practice Week. So far though it has not been going good. I cleaned out my cupboard and shopped for some Superfoods. I also made a Superfood recipe, but I find myself eating junk because I feel like I'm not on the diet yet. I know that the point of this week is to practice, but I seem to want to rationalize in my head.

My goal for tomorrow is to cut out junk and eat as close to the diet as possible. I've already purchase and have been eating SuperFoods, but that along with cookies and candy bars do me no good.
