Fantastic! I´ll check it out tonight after I put the kids to bed.

It´s almost 5pm here so I need to start dinner.emoticon

Thank you.

I have found SparkRecipes.com to be great for estimating homemade recipe calories. They have a recipe calculator where you can enter your recipe and each item in the recipe. You then tell it how many servings the recipe is for, and it will tell you the calories per serving. You ought to see my recipe box!!!

Hi SCHOOLMARM, Dont lose faith, hang in there. I know how you feel. Ive been eating better and better since 1st of Jan, with an occasional fall back (chocolate cake - my youngest daughter turned 2yrs), and I just started working out everyday (except Sat/Sun) and I have not seen anything change. Im still at 155 since Jan. I cant say Im too strict on my calorie counting either, though under 1200 might be a bit low, specially if you are working out everyday. I try to be between 1200-1500. I live in Germany and its hard to figure out exactly how many calories or fat I eat, but I try to make a good guess. So my chart might not always be accurate.

I do have a question. How do you count calories or fat for a homemade Stew, or chicken cacciatore, etc? would it go under "educated guess". emoticon I have NO clue.

It sounds like you've cut your calories TOO much. It's highly discouraged to go below 1200 a day.

I, too, am eating healthy or more so than I was a month ago. I am trying to get at least 6 super foods in daily, eating less than 1200 calories a day plus doing at least 30 minutes of exercise daily (usually recumbent bike doing spurts of intense spinning) My biggest problem is, I'm not losing. I'm not gaining, which is good, but I'm not losing either. I've followed the above for the past 3 weeks on SP, logging eats and exercise and have lost 2 whole pounds. Better lost than gained, but I feel like I should lose something every week. And yes, I CAN put it on in a day! emoticon

...to the team ;) I just turned 40. Im a wife of 10yrs, and a mother of three little girls 5.5yrs, 3.5yrs, and 2yrs. Im from Chicago my husband is from Sweden. Our kids where born 1 in Michigan, 1 in Japan and our last one in Germany. We lived in Germany now. I enjoy living here, except that its sometimes lonely not having my friends and family around. Im running around with the kids all day and by the time they go to bed Im so tired that its almost impossible for me to work out. I just dont have the energy after the day is done.

Eating better as a family is my goal. We now eat salads everyday and eat at least 3-4 fruits a day! The kids love eating it.

I look forward to meeting others with the same goals. emoticon
