When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

I love Paleo/Primal and although I don't follow it 100%, I follow it a good 80% and have amazing results.
I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure in October of last year. When I had my cath done, they found text book clear arteries, perfect cholesterol and my thyroid within range. A virus had attacked my heart...it was NOT my diet!
I rejoined Spark (I used to be grokgranny) under a new name. I am setting new goals, meeting new people, etc. I just had a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted in my chest on 2/1/13. I am just now getting back on my feet.
Just wanted to share, that you can follow Paleo, have amazing labs because of it and STILL be stricken with a weird virus...but it was NOT the fault of my diet! And OMG...I ate coconut daily...at least 1 T.
You would not believe the crap I had to tune out (dietary wise) while in the hospital. I politely listened and said, "thank you very much!" Buh-bye!
