I'm super lucky that I work at a college with free gym access. So I definitely can run at lunch when I'm free. Some weeks, though, my work schedule prevents getting out at lunch. Blah. Thanks for the encouragement, ladies!
Hillary, these are precious times and they will end quickly. Do not worry, just enjoy your little one. If you are working, is it possible to take a walk at lunch? Then maybe add 15 minutes of strength training in the evening after he goes to bed?

It is hard. I loathe getting up so early on some mornings but I know if I don't, my workout won't happen. I am so dog tired today (((it is exhausting chasing after 4 kids))) that I am going to sleep in tomorrow and not get up. The last couple of mornings, Jacob has gotten up at about 2 to nurse then he goes down and sleeps until approx 7. He's an amazing little sleeper! I feel so thankful!!! But 5am completely blows on some days! I am to a point that I am just not ready to force naps in his bed yet I enjoy snuggling with him too much but I know when that time comes I can make his nap time my workout time as well. I guess it is an advantage to being a SAH mom is there is definite flexibility with my schedule. I don't know how you working moms do it, I feel frazzled and like I don't have enough time without having to go to work...
We're working on sleeping through the night. We went to the 7:30/8:00 pm bed time with sometimes 2 feedings in the middle of the night and up for good around 6am. Gradually we've gotten to 1 feeding around 1 am and up around 6. The last 3 nights he's slept all night until 5 or 5:30am. In order to get us all cleaned, dressed, fed, and out the door in time to get to work relatively on-time, I need to be up at 5:45am. This week I haven't exercised pretty much at all. It's really frustrating.

You ladies are amazing. I know that if I'm going to be consistent with my workouts, I'll need to get up at 5:00am too. My issue now is that I'm still breastfeeding and the mornings are super uncomfortable until I feed the baby. I'd have to pump and I hate pumping (and have to pump during the day at work). I'm not ready to give up my morning feeding with my little guy. It's unfortunate having to chose one over the other.
