It's so hard to keep the momentum going, especially when there are stressful things going on. I find it's usually easier to get up and get going in spring and fall--not a fan of extreme heat or cold.

I've been just treading water for so long. Maybe this week will be the one where I up my exercise and begin the push again. So much sickness in the family has made it hard, but I think the time has come for a new, re-energized push. Let's see how it goes! emoticon

Here's something that I found REALLY works, thogh. (Iknow I haven't lost for a while, but I've not been so "on" lately. I know once I am I'll begin losing again.)

So, my daughter who was on Weight Watchers hit a plateau. She went online and found something called the Wendie Plan. Bottom line - You have HIGH point day followed by a low point day. Your weekly average stays the same, but you zig zag points or calories so that your metabolism doesn't set itself lower. You'll still hit plateaus, but not like before. You literally trick your body/metabolism into not setting itself lower. So you'll continue to burn more calories. It's brilliant! There's even a Wendie group on SparkPeople.

Try it, it works for both of us. Let me know what happens, ok?

Good evening, Claude. Just checked this thread. I will post a photo eventually--I'm working on a new computer and don't have all my pictures on here yet.

As far as tracking calories, etc., I'm currently tracking points on Weight Watchers as I try to take off some weight I've put on this past year--that's what works best for me--so I probably wouldn't do a regular post about calories here. But once I'm back into maintenance, this would be a useful place to stay on track.

It's going pretty well. I'm oscillating between 136 and 140...mostly less than 140 although I did have a bad weekend and got up there. But I'm just seeing if I can get back on track without writing it all down. so far, I'm doing OK with that.
I may start tracking again in a couple weeks when the 5K push is done. I do want to get down to 130 if I can...

Hey, Sara, how is it going not tracking? I saw you recently posted that you're making progress. Have good eating habits taken over and now it's not necessary? At this point, I'd be afraid that it might all fall apart for me if I discontinued tracking.

As Sara said, I doubt that there will be any challenges here. I personally hate challenges, the couple I tried to join were disastrous to me. I really don't like challenges unless they are personal ones that I do not reveal to the world.
