Another Kate here. I've been doing Chalean Extreme for a while, now. I really like it. I hurt my knee this week so I need to slow down a little. I've been exercising every day since October 15th..I know, I know, I'm supposed to rest, but I set the goal to work out a minimum of 20 minutes a day for 365 days. I can do ab workouts even with the sore knee. I just did a modified Cardio party. I felt guilty for not pushing it, isn't that crazy? Sheesh...Anyway, glad you're here. I'm 56 years old and just started taking care of myself in the last 15 years or so...I hope I didn't wait too long. :) I'm a grandmother who wants to be the fittest nana they know!! Hi everyone! I am new to this team and to Chalene's workouts. Today I started week two of the burn circuit in Chalean Extreme. I love it! I just bought TurboJam too. I really like her teaching style and I like that she makes it easy to modify. Glad to have found this team!

As long as its in a warm climate. I have two sulcata tortoises that are going to get too big to stay indoors.
I actually went to culinary school for a year because I want to be able to train and then be able to take my clients into the kitchen and show them that they can cook healthy food on a budget and in a short amount of time and still have it taste good.

It sounds like we have a lot in common (especially professionally), minus the bad relationship. My fitness "hook" was Pilates, I became an instructor, then my interest in the therapeutic aspect of exercise took me to massage school, and subsequently a degree in Health and Wellness. I still do massage in a chiro office, but my private practice focuses on the link between stress and physical health, and I do food and fitness as well as bodywork. Wanna share office space, lol?

I'm pretty strong, I just lost every thing with my last relationship, ballooned up to 230 and was just in a rut.
So, now I'm rebuilding, looking to get down to 145, finish school and get my PTA degree. Along the way once I get to where I'm a better advertisement for myself, I'll go after a personal trainer certification. Probably go into the nutrition side as well.
Using my GI Bill to pretty much overhaul my entire life, physically and professionally. I've always loved working out and if I can earn a living in workout clothes, that would be a dream come true. Just gotta fix the eating, probably 50% there and improving every week.

lol, busy girl!

I am in week 14 of the extended TurboFire schedule, and loving it even more than the first time I did the program. For the first 12 weeks, I did CLX concurrently (not the hybrid) and it did not take long to get much, much stronger. I'm missing lifting heavy weights now! You will LOVE it.

Well I had already ran and fell with my soul mate workout P90X twice. I love it but I need to build up. And I know I'm not ready for Turbo Fire. Plus I've been doing a lot of cardio and very little toning for the past couple months.
I think ChaLean Extreme will do well to get me in the circuit training and more balanced program that I need.
Brazil Butt Lift would probably be easier, but I'm thinking I'll use that in between CLX and Power 90. Also, I love Tony Horton, so if I did Power 90 first I'd end up going straight back to P90X after.
I seriously can't wait until my first Hybrid though.
Just finished Zumba and 2 cups of coffee so I'm a little wired right now.

Hey there. Just ordered ChaLean Extreme yesterday, can't wait for it to get here.
I have P90X and the first time I tried it, I got through a month and irritated and old knee injury, but once the swelling went down I haven't had a problem with that knee since. Must have knocked some stuff out of the joint or something.
Second time I got through a month and found out my BF of six years was cheating on me and I ended up moving twice.
So, a month ago I decided that I need to "finish something". I decided I want to hit all the Beach Body headliners, along with the hybrids. Starting with ChaLean extreme and working my way though the Asylum and P90X2. From the looks of it, this will take me around four or five years. But I just keep visualizing the results and the fact that I want to carve a personal trainer out of my currently frumpy behind.
The auto-scheduler, with all of its hybrids and variations, really lengthened this crusade. But I love it.

Hi All,
Love Turbo Jam, and it inspired me enough to go to an actual kickboxing class which was a huge accomplishment for me! Still love my DVD's though.

I have Turbo Fire, and I am still intimidated by it. I gave it a few tries, and I go back to the comfort of knowing what I'm doing on TJ. I will get it though.

Looking forward to tips, tricks and opinions.

New to the team and the social side of Sparkpeople - though I have been a SP member for 2 years plus now. I am part of another balanced living message board that takes most of my time - mainly here to find articles. But thought I would reach out to this community! emoticon

I'm a Chalene devotee. She is awesome! Have loved her since TurboJam, am currently in my second round of the TurboFire/ChaLEAN Extreme hybrid schedule. Love her book PUSH - she is just such an inspiration.

Idol worshiping done there - I am also a huge Zumba addict. Currently trying to hit every Zumbathon I can; and just signed up for my Zumba instructor training in June. I am also starting a personal training course soon.

Not sure how active I will be here (have a 4 yr old and 2 other kids to keep me busy) but thought I would say hi!

Just be prepared....weight training can stall your "weight loss" as you are building lean muscle mass as you burn fat. So, though you are not losing pounds, I recommend maesuring yourself because your body shape will change so dramatically. I literally losy no weight, but I went down 3 clothing sizes!! It is AMAZING~ DON'T GIVE UP emoticon

We aren't exactly sure....6 xs a week will be rough, but I think we are going to try it initially and see how it goes. It's really not a lot to sacrifice an hour a day, and we do it first thing(5 a.m!!)We will see how it goes :)

Hi everyone!!!
I just found this team. I am in week #3 of CLX at my gym right now. I really like it so far!!! I did TF at my gym last winter, and really liked that too. I also have the TJ DVD's at home that I do sometimes, but used to do all the time.
I am also a big fan of Jillian, so I have all of her DVD's too.
My main problem now is my diet, I love to workout, but also love to eat too!!!

hi everyone my name is brandy and i love chalene too! ive got turbo jam and a few turbo kick round dvds and just started turbo fire a few days ago. im very excited about seeing how far this will take me and just want to be in a group with people that do the same things as me.

I'm Wendy, and I love Chalene! She is amazing and so motivating. I'm currently doing Turbo Jam and I love it! I can feel myself getting stronger, and I love that the moves are starting to get a little bit easier. My goal is to one day attend Camp Do More!

Hi everyone! I'm Kristi. I'm working Week 2 of the Beginner's Schedule with TJ. I hurt in places I didn't know I could, but that's a good thing. ;-) I'm looking forward to moving on to the Advanced Schedule in a couple of weeks. Nice to "meet" you all! :)

So glad to find some other Chalene fans!

I have ALL of the Turbo Jam, and Chalene Extreme. I keep going to her websites to check out the others and haven't yet taken the plunge (though they are calling my name!!!). I LOVE TJ and find it is my go-to when I need a great cardio and a mood boost. I am finishing up the lean month on CLX and am trying to figure out what I want to do next (anyone repeat CLX or do the mix of month 4?). When I do TJ, I typically do a mix of high and low depending on the move, because my knee/hip can get to achey on me.

I miss the fun of TJ watching the back stories of the people on the DVDs. I liked feeling that I "knew" them. Now, going back, it is funny to recognize Donna in an older TJ video compared to the Donna on CLX. Also, gotta say Mary's husband is nice to watch on the first TJ.

I am a home video DVD junkie with workouts. We live in the country, so driving to a "good" gym would take me at least 30 min. I've tried lots of other workouts, but always come back to Chalene as my favorite.

I'm curious about the hybrid I've seen many of you post about. Be sure to share.

Hello :) I am new to the team & simply LOVE Chalene, like everyone else here :) I've had Turbo Jam for a few years but I have only been doing the workouts consistently since I started Spark. I also just purchased Turbo Fire & I've tried a couple DVD's but I'm not sure if I'm ready to commit to that quite yet...hehe. It's a little intimidating for me as of right now. emoticon I've combined TJ along with walking 10-14 miles each week and have been really successful in loosing 56 lbs. I still need to loose a good 20 lbs. or so & hope that by joining this team I'll be able to make it happen. I'm so excited to hear from you all & hope I can help motivate others too.

Hey everyone! I'm Julie, 26 years old and I LOVE Chalene's workouts! I started with basic Turbo Jam, then I went for the elite package. I now have some Turbo Kick workouts and I'm a Hip Hop Hustle Fan, so I have them all! Since I love to dance, I really fell in love with HHHustle! I would love to teach it one day, when I'm lighter...

I have Turbo Fire, but not ready to use it yet...I might try to do it in October...I really want to drop a good 10-15lbs before since my knees are still fragile.

Anyone doing Hip Hop Hustle ? Or am I alone in my team ?

Hi Jen, You sound like me. She is a great motivator and she is right 5 min in and your just doing it. New to this team too. Look forward to getting to know you. I just started Chalene Burn circuit 1 today. I have had it for a while but only made it 3 weeks in and quit. I am looking forward to doing it all and seeing where I am when I finish. I am using Turbo Jam added to it as well and some walking. Love to get outside and walk when I can too.

Hi, I'm Jen! I used to do TurboKick at the gym years ago, then bought Turbo Jam. Put it aside for 3 years and just picked it back up. I had been looking for a program to build muscle. I saw an infomercial by Tracy Anderson and googled it & found out about Chalean Extreme. After reading reviews, I decided to go with Chalene. I loved Turbokick & Turbo Jam so I bit the bullet. I am in my 1st week of Push Phase. I completed Burn Phase and lost 6 lbs and 10 inches. Can't wait to see what Push Phase does. I'm going to try to throw some more cardio (elliptical & Turbo Jam workouts) to help with losing more weight. I'd love to have Turbo Fire, but I haven't done Turbo Jam in a while, so I'll just do with that for now. This is the FIRST at home video I have stuck with. I have Slim in 6, and just couldn't stick with it. Chalene ROCKS!!! When she says give her 5 minutes and she will put you in the mood to exercise, she delivers! I'm hoping to go to Camp Do More in 2013....just trying to get back into shape the rest of 2011 & 2012!

Welcome Tara! I am on my 5th week of CLX. I add TF in it because I love it so much. You can do the same. I just make sure to get in the three strength training days in, and abs and recharge (yoga like stretching) and I add the TF whenever i can.

Hi, I'm Tara. I've done TurboJam for years but the routines are getting a little boring. I did kickboxing on a heavy bag for awhile in a class setting and LOVED that but schedules/cost aren't working out right now to continue with that. I ordered Chalean Extreme and TurboFire this past week and am waiting for them in the mail. I hope to start a rotation with those and get back into my workout habit. Does anyone else use the two programs together?

Hi team members. I'm Jennie and I just received my CLX in the mail on Friday. I've been working out with TJ and Nicole's 28 day Boot Camp Challenge for the past month...and I'm ready for a switch in routine. After hearing so many good reviews about CLX, I decided to order one for myself and see if it'll work for me. Can't wait to start.
(Don't know if I'm physically ready...but I'm going to give it my best...because mentally I AM READY).

I'm Amy and I love Turbo Jam! I have several DVD's... most of them donated to me :-)

I wasn't sure if I wanted Turbo Fire or Chalene Extreme, but the post about the lengths of workouts makes me want Chalene Extreme first. I can do that WITH Turbo Jam.

Anyway, I won't be getting it anytime soon... but it's a goal. Probably with income tax lol

I'm currently on week 4 of turbo fire and even though I haven't seen any noticeable changes, I'm having great fun with it!
